Kris Murray is  President and CEO of KLM Strategies, a woman-owned professional consulting firm with more than 25 years of consulting experience in Southern California’s public and private sectors.

Prior to starting her own firm, Kris was Senior Vice President of Business Development and Government Affairs of Willdan Group Inc., a national engineering and energy services consulting firm headquartered in Orange County. At Willdan, Kris provided leadership to expand the company’s project expertise in the fields of energy, transportation, water and municipal consulting services – assisting cities and public agencies with large infrastructure and sustainability projects.

Prior to joining Willdan in 2010, Kris served in a dual role as Executive Director of the Orange County Council of Governments and as an Executive Director of the Orange County Transportation Authority, overseeing the agency’s local, state and federal government relations programs.

During her career, Kris led large-scale projects and programs that required broad public and stakeholder support, achieving and exceeding project goals and objectives. Additionally, Kris served from 2010-2018 as Mayor Pro Tem and Councilwoman for the City of Anaheim; and represented the city during her tenure on large, regional boards serving Southern California, with oversight of regional planning and programs pertaining to infrastructure, land use planning, housing, transportation, and water.

Today, Kris leads strategy and development for KLM’s current clients and strategic consulting partners across the Southern California region.
